At a press conference today, C4 boss Andy Duncan reiterated his view that their had been no racism in the current Celebrity Big Brother and announced the line-up for the next series.

In keeping with C4s claim that Big Brother is doing a service by bringing uncomfortable issues into the public domain, celebrity housemates will include:
Nick Griffin, David Irving, David Copeland, Keith Vaz and the remains of 'a-list celebs' Josef Goebbels, Eva Braun and Enoch Powell.

Housemates will be made to endure challenging ordeals such as the 'eating of food with the hands', and a limited menu of fish and chips, sandwiches, McDonalds, tortilla wraps and fruit pastilles.

Mr Vaz has expressed some concern at the other housemates, claiming their may be a slight cultural clash. He is currently taking elocution lessons in an attempt to minimise conflict.

TV regulator Ofcom has warned C4 that it will take any incidents of alleged racism in the show very seriously, and has promised to act to put an end to such occurrences sometime in the next 5 years.

"London - One hundred British police officers and staff have been disciplined for circulating an e-mail showing an image of a decapitated black man, police said on Tuesday.

Fifteen of the most senior officers and staff at Hertfordshire police were given formal reprimands, or the civilian equivalent, for distributing the message.

Another 85 were disciplined with either a formal warning or management advice."

If he wasn't so laughable he'd be truly ugly, but stuff the comedy, the tragedy is I think this guy actually believes the vomit he so eloquently spews.

How anyone can say, in public, that there may have been problems with the claim about WMDs but the rest of the justifications for the Iraq debacle have held up just defies belief...justifications like:
-the roadmap to peace in Palestine- you know the one that let rip the IDF dogs of war in the Lebanon.
-the links between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Even the CIA have given up on this one, although they do admit that Al Qaeda are there now.
-the Iraqis will welcome the 'liberating' troops. Tell that to nearly 3000 bereaved military families, or the 65% of Iraqis (MoD figures) that believe British and American troops are justifiable targets.
-the world will be a safer place - but I don't remember people being worried about getting on a bus in London before the invasion.

All of this is notwithstanding the massive civilian deathtoll in Iraq, the continuing lack of basic facilities (electricity and water) and the ever-worsening 'security' situation.

I would like to thank Kamm, however for his most excellent failure in attempting to put down John Rees from the Stop the War Coalition. The personal attack was a spectacular testament to the paucity of substance in anything he felt able to argue.

What Kamm forgets is that John Rees as a founder and leading member of the Stop the War Coalition is one who represents millions of people, whereas Kamm himself can only be described as representing one of millions of blogs.

The only real redeeming feature of Kamm's appearance was the glowering sickly look of death on his face as the item faded out with John Rees having had the last word. Laugh...I nearly shat.

On the Time to Go Demo I met a young woman from Manchester whose brother was killed in Iraq. She had joined the demo hoping to team up with Military Families against War, who she had heard were camping outside Labour Conference.
I took her to the back of the stage, and asked someone if they could find Rose Gentle, a courageous and tenacious leader of MFAW whose own son Gordon died in Iraq at the tender age of 19, after just 6 months basic training.
I choked as their eyes met and they both burst into tears.

So when the privileged bastards who sent these (mainly young, working class) people to their deaths pretend they care, it's worth remembering the ones who won't be receiving their 'tax-bill bonus'.
